Determination, talent, passion and silent grind.

In September 2025, Karel wrote history by becoming the youngest ever participant to secure the overall pole position in Supercars Iberian at Valencia. Driving the GR Supra GT4 EVO2 for Speedy Motorsport, he demonstrated exceptional speed, control, and maturity far beyond his years.

QUALIFYING ON FIRE AND A BIG SURPRISE : YOUNG ROOKIE TAKES POLE

If the first session had already got the crowd on their feet, the second was equally electrifying. Karel Staut, making his debut in the championship at just 14 years of age, delivered a dream lap in NokoTech Racing by Speedy’s Toyota to claim overall pole position – a feat set to go down in Iberian Supercars history.

PERFECT PARITY IN SECOND TEST SESSION

In GT4 Pro-Bronze, Guillermo Aso and Filip Vava put NM Racing Team’s Mercedes-AMG GT4 at the top of the timesheets, with Andrius Zemaitis and Karel Staut (NokoTech Racing by Speedy’s Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2) just 0.030s behind and Bruno Pereira and Gonçalo Araújo (Araújo Competição’s Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO) less than a tenth and a half from the lead, underlining how close the pace was – and is expected to remain – for the rest of the weekend.

TESTS PROMISE ON-TRACK BATTLES

In GT4 Pro-Bronze, Sérgio Azevedo and Orlando Batina (Batina Racing’s Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2) set the pace with a 1:41.790, leaving Andrius Zemaitis and Karel Staut (NokoTech Racing by Speedy’s Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2) 0.313s behind. It was an auspicious start for this duo, teaming up for the first time. José Cautela and Lourenço Monteiro (McLaren Barcelona – SMC Motorsport’s McLaren Artura GT4) were third, just 0.347s off the top, hinting at a fierce weekend battle.

In the afternoon, 14-year-old talent Karel Staut stepped into the driver’s seat and delivered an extraordinary test day performance. His pace, focus, and maturity on track impressed everyone watching. Whether his journey continues with Belgium Racing or another team, one thing is certain: Karel Staut is a rising name destined to make waves in the racing world.

Test, Circuit Zolder, 13 November

Another exciting day at Circuit Zolder, where 15-year-old Karel Staut once again took the wheel of his trusted Porsche. With perfect conditions – sunshine, stability and plenty of track time – the focus was clear: push harder, drive cleaner and refine every detail.

Lap after lap, Karel sharpened his speed, setup and racing lines. What he showed today confirms what we at Belgium Racing have known for a while: Karel is one of the most promising young talents to join our ranks in recent years. His focus, maturity and eagerness to learn are exceptional for his age.

At Belgium Racing, we invest heavily in developing young drivers. Karel benefits from full support: personal coaching, in-depth data analysis, technical guidance and an experienced crew behind him in the pit box. Test days like this are a key part of his progression – and today he proved once again that he’s ready for the next steps.

This is just the beginning.
